Get in Touch About Edwards County Records

This is a private reference website, not a government office. We cannot confirm a person’s custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or retrieve an official booking record. For an answer that carries official weight, contact the public office or custody system that maintains the record.

ECSO has not published a separate booking-record unit, fee schedule, photo-request form, or promised turnaround. For a written Texas Public Information Act request, use the agency above, identify the existing record and date range, and call first to confirm the preferred delivery route. The Texas Attorney General’s request guide explains that requests go to the governmental body believed to hold the record. Do not use the non-emergency number for an emergency. Call 911 when immediate help is needed.

  • Current county custody: start with the official ECSO inmate roster. It is a current-custody list, not proof that a person who is absent was never arrested; no booking photos were displayed during the review.
  • Booking record or photo: use the home records guide and send a focused request to ECSO under Texas Government Code chapter 552. Ask for existing records, not a newly created report, and request the legal basis for any withholding.
  • Court case or disposition: the Edwards County and District Clerk is the route for court-file continuity. The clerk’s office is at 101 E. Main, Rocksprings, and lists 830-683-2235. A court record is not a promise that the clerk holds a jail photograph.
  • Wanted or warrant information: read Wanted Fugitives, then use ECSO’s non-emergency line or the appropriate court contact. The public most-wanted list is not a complete warrant database.
  • Selected incident reporting: Arrest News distinguishes official press releases from a daily arrest log. ECSO’s press-release archive is selective, not a same-day booking feed.
  • State sentenced custody: use the TDCJ Offender Information Search only for current Texas Department of Criminal Justice custody. TDCJ states that public inmate photographs are not provided.
  • Federal or immigration custody: use the separate Bureau of Prisons locator for federal prison custody or the ICE detainee locator for immigration detention. Neither system substitutes for the ECSO roster or an Edwards County booking-record request.
